A low-intensity blast was reported from Kolkata’s busy Chandni Chowk market on Friday afternoon.
According to reports, no one was hurt in the blast, which took place in front of a shopping mall.
City police officials and a bomb squad were also rushed to the blast site immediately after the blast was reported.
One live bomb was also recovered from the bomb blast site, which was defused and then taken for forensic examination.
However, it is still not clear as to who placed the bombs on the footpath in the busy market area.
