On the eve of Valentine’s Day (Lovers Day) celebrations on Sunday, leaders of Osmania University Students Union and Indian Lovers Unity, here on Saturday called on Hyderabad City Additional Police Commissioner Anjani Kumar and submitted a memorandum.
The student leaders complained to the police officer that the activists of Bajrang Dal and Viswa Hindu Parishad had openly threatened to raid parks and restaurants and teach a fitting lesson to the Valentine’s Day revelers. They also urged the Additional CP to take the Hindu zealots into preventive custody as a precautionary measure and ensure that the Parks and restaurants remained open on Sunday as usual. (NSS)
