Agra: State Convenor of the Bajrang Dal, Ajju Chauhan had said in February this year that his organization will start ‘Bahu Laao, Beti Bachao’ campaign in order to provide security to Hindu girls from “love jihad”. The members of his organization distributed leaflets in certain schools in New Delhi giving a warning to young Hindu girls not to be misled by Muslim youth.
in the said leaflet, it was mentioned that Hindu girls are trapped by the Muslim boys by making false promises and later they are sold out in Arabian countries.
The members of these organizations visited girls’ colleges to create awareness about ‘love jihad’. They have plans to contact parents of marriageable Hindu boys to convince them to get Muslim or Christian girls in marriages for their sons. Bajrang Dal feels that by getting girls from other religions as daughters-in-law an opportunity would be provided to them to get used to the rich cultural traditions of Hindu religion. ‘Bahu Laao, Beti Bachao’ campaign is being used to counter “love jihad”.
National General Secretary of the All India Jamat Raza-e-Mustafa, Bareilly, Maulana Shahabuddin Razvi remarked that Muslims community does not have enough funds to promote “love jihad” campaign. If money is available it could be used for the welfare of the community. He contradicted the allegation saying that they are not worth responding. He demanded the Govt. to take stern action against such activists who create hatred among the society.
Mr. Asim Chaudhary, Police Officer of Sadar Police Station of Old Delhi told that distributing such leaflet is illegal. He assured that proper action would be taken against those who are responsible for distributing such hateful literature.
