The Ranga Reddy District Lorry Owners Association has urged the State government to allow them to transport sand.
Speaking to the media here on Tuesday, Association members said that the labourers depending on sand quarrying were on the road due to the stoppage of sand quarrying. They demanded that the State government permit sand quarrying as usual. Expressing concern over the stoppage of sand quarrying, the Association members said that it would have severe impact on construction sector.
It may be mentioned here that the State government had stopped sand quarrying from April 1 following the High Court direction. (NSS)
