Loop holes in the maintenance of Makka Madina Allauddin Wakf

(Siasat News) The property of Makkah Madina Wakf consist of 12684 Sq. Yards which has 24 flats and 600 shops. All these are cloth shops it is very regrettable that Wakf Board is not maintaining this property in a better way. Wakf Board had taken charge of this property on 18th January 2012. Mr. Habeeb Allauddin, Chairman and Managing Trustee of Allauddin Trust had leveled charges against Wakf Board yesterday about its mismanagement and said that Wakf Board is encouraging anti-social elements and the illegal possessors of these properties. They have been given free hand for illegal constructions. Mr. Habeeb Allauddin approached Wakf Tribunal and got injunction orders for stopping all these illegal constructions. He told that this illegal constructions are in progress at the instance of influential political leaders and an organized conspiracy.

According to Habeeb Allauddin this property was bought by his grant father Ahmed Allauddin from the Nizam-VII for Rs. 1,86,000/- in 1944. At that time it was indicated that the income of this property would be sent to Makka and Madina for helping the poor people. Earlier, there were only 438 shops but the tenants and illegal possessors divided these shops into 600 malgies. Despite making complaints to GHMC, no action is being taken against illegal constructions. In the past, Wakf Board had leveled charges of irregularities against the trust. 40% of the tenant are not prepared to except Wakf Board or any other institution whereas 60% of the tenants are regularly paying the rents. It is very regrettable that the rents they are paying are very meager. It will be very surprising that 25% of the tenants are non-Muslims. He told that if anyone wants to purchase any mulgy in this area, the transaction runs into crores of rupees. He stressed the need for the Wakf Board to appoint Special Officer with full powers to managed this property.

A social activist has written letters to President, P.M., Wakf Council, Chief Justice of A.P. High Court, Director of Anti-Corruption Bureau, Lok Ayukta, Central Vigilance Commission and C.B.I. for the protection of this valuable property.
