Long-lasting Hajj House tug of war resolved

The ongoing controversy continued for nearly two years, over the construction of new hajj House near Shamsabad International Airport was finally resolved on Wednesday. After the intervention of Chief Minister Kiran Kumar Reddy, Minority Welfare Minister Mohammed Ahmedullah inspected the land allotted for the construction of Hajj House located near Pahadi Shareef, along with Waqf Board Chairman Maulana Syed Ghulam Afzal Biabani Khusro Pasha and Hajj Committee chairman Mr. Khaleeluddin Ahmed. Waqf Board had allotted 10 acre land for the construction of new Hajj House which it agreed to give Hajj committee on lease. However there was a dispute over the control of the building between Hajj committee and waqf board which delayed the beginning of construction work.

Now it has been jointly decided that Waqf Board will give 10 acre land to Hajj committee on lease whose monthly rent could be fixed at Rs. 11111. Both the institutions will soon sign a memorandum of understanding after which chief minister will lay foundation stone of the new building.
