London Mayor discusses business opportunities with AP

London Mayor Boris Johnson has expressed keen interest in various projects being implemented in the city, especially the Hyderabad Metro Rail Project.

Speaking in the interactive session on investment opportunities in Andhra Pradesh and Hyderabad at Jubilee Hall here on Wednesday, the London Mayor expressed keen interest to know the details of the Metro Rail project currently in progress in Hyderabad. He said he was fascinated to see the Heritage Buildings in Hyderabad. He further observed that Re-generation of Hyderabad city, lake cleaning, tourism development, ports and other sectors have great potential for assistance from the investors from London and United Kingdom.

The London Mayor, who is on a two day visit to Hyderabad, was accompanied with Chief of Staff Edward Lister and other senior officials and media persons from London. A power point presentation was made to the delegation detailing the major ongoing projects of various departments of the State Government.

In his welcome address, Infrastructure and Investments Minister Ganta Srinivas Rao gave a brief of the various potential sectors for investments in Andhra Pradesh and Hyderabad. Municipal Administration Minister M Maheedhar Reddy, GHMC Mayor Mohammad Majid Hussain and other officials also addressed and solicited investments in developmental projects in Andhra Pradesh and Hyderabad.
