On the news-item published in print media on July 11, 2010 under caption “Parkulo Patlu” alleging illegal encroachment of 1405.05 sq.yards of government land allotted for park in Balajinagar Colony, Survey No. 52 of Manikonda/Poppalguda village under Rajendranagar Mandal, the Lokayukta registered the same suo motu and called for report from the R.R. District Collector.
After submission of preliminary reports, the District Collector, R.R.District submitted report dated June 21, 2012. Having considered that report, the Lokayukta by order dated June 22, 2012 directed the R.R.District Collector to see that the open lands are protected, apart from taking appropriate action in the pending writ petition to get the interim order vacated, so as to evict the encroachers of the Government land and submit further status report and posted the matter to September 26, 2012. As no report has been received, reminder was also issued to the Ranga Reddy District Collector to submit report by January 23, 2013.
On this day, neither a report was filed by the Collector nor was there any representation. The Lokayukta Justice B. Subhashan Reddy ordered issue of summons to the Ranga Reddy District Collector to appear before him on February 20, 2013 at 10.30 am and file the report.
