Lok Sabha adjourned till noon over phone tapping row

New Delhi, April 26: The phone tapping issue hit the Lok Sabha proceedings as it was adjourned till 12 pm due to the opposition’s demand for Prime Minister’s Manmohan Singh clarification.

Lok Sabha Speaker Meira Kumar repeatedly requested the house to discuss the issue in Zero hour and let question hour continue.

But the Opposition was reluctant to hear anything less than immediate discussion.

Just before the adjournment, senior BJP leader LK Advani demanded Joint Parliamentary Committee (JPC) probe into the matter.

Advani said that it was serious issue and incident reminded emergency days.
