State Child Rights Association has approached the Lok Ayukta to take stern action against the private school managements which were violating the Right to Education Act and the Child Rights.
The Association leaders explained that private school managements were fleecing the parents in the name of talent tests and also by selling note books and uniforms in the schools even before they were reopened. The Government authorities were keeping quiet even though the irregularities came to their notice, they alleged. They pleaded with the Lok Ayuktha to see that admissions were not started before April 14 and to take action against the private schools for violation of the Rules.
Responding to the plea, the Lok Ayuktha has directed the School Education Commissioner to submit a detailed report in the matter by April 9.
