CSM Nagar (UP), April 27: Demanding Fursatganj to be made a schedule stop of an intercity express, residents of the area today blocked cavalcade of senior Congress leader Rahul Gandhi.
Locals blocked cavalcade of Gandhi, who was on a one-day visit to Amethi, demanding that Fursatganj railway station be made a regular halt of Pratapgarh-Kanpur Intercity Express, party members here said.
Rahul assured the residents that he will forward their demand to the authorities concerned, they said.
