A local Muslim leader was allegedly shot dead by unidentified persons here, police said today.
Hafiz Aftab (60), leader of a local Muslim organisation, was shot dead last night by unidentified miscreants in Khalapar area, Deputy SP Sanjiv Vachpayee said.
After the incident, hundreds of supporters gathered at the hospital to protest Aftab’s killing.
