Erode,December 18: A local court granted conditional bail to former minister N K K P Raja, expelled from DMK, in connection with a case of threatening a party MLA.
Raja was arrested on December 15 following a complaint by the Bhavanisagar DMK MLA O Subramaniam that he (Raja) had threatened him over phone.
Raja is currently lodged at Coimbatore central prison.
Gobichettipalayam Judicial Magistrate Irudhayarani directed Raja to report at the Kavindapady police station on every Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays.
Raja was expelled from DMK on October 25 for violating party discipline. He was dropped from the Cabinet last year following land grabbing allegations surfaced against him.
