The elections to local bodies could be delayed if they are to be held as per the 2011 Census.
The elections could be delayed by 35 days if we carry out the polls as per the latest census, State Electoral Officer Ramakanth Reddy told reporters here on Friday.
Speaking to reporters here, he said that the regional review meetings will help solve local problems. “We have come here to know firsthand the issues at the grassroot level,” he said adding that many issues have come to their notice.
The last of the regional review meetings will be held in Hyderabad, he said. (INN)
