Dream of Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao is to ensure that the farmers in Telangana should do agriculture without obtaining loans, according to Power Minister G Jagadish Reddy. The minister said that to make his dream come true, the Chief Minister launched the prestigious Rythu Bandhu Scheme (RBS) and giving Rs 4000 per acre to a farmer.
Participating in developmental works of road inauguration at Rachakonda jurisdiction by its police in Yadadri Bhuvanagiri here, he said that steps will be taken to give land rights to lambadas and STs in the district. KCR has set aside Rs 6000 cr for RBS. Telangana is number one in many fields and now set a record of sorts by offering crop investment to prevent extreme steps like suicides by farmers Jagadish Reddy said. A total of 40 lakhs acres will come under irrigation through RBS now and will prove handy for the farming community to reap in golden harvest, he claimed. The government will provide cheques to farmers of forest lands and those doing Podu cultivation.
The farmers are happy to receive the cheques being offered for crop investment and will sure get rid of the bad loans he noted. Nizamabad farmers are ideal for other districts for doing agriculture with total unity and cooperation, the minister said. KCR gets credit for taking to the door steps of rural people the development and welfare, he said. (NSS)
