50-year-old Mumtaz Aapa is very social and hardworking, though less talkative. Her husband who used to drive auto has expired. She has 2 sons and a daughter; the daughter is married, while both the sons drive auto; one among them is memoriser of Quran (hafiz-e-Quran). Mumtaz Aapa worked in a private hospital at Hasan Nagar for 12 years and in a private school for 10 years. However for the past 5 years she is running her own business near the gate of govt. maternity hospital Petlaburj she gets considerable revenue from the business.
Mumtaz Aapa told that she sets off from house soon after Fajr and does business till 8 pm. She sells items related to new born and the mother. She has a sewing machine on which she stitches the clothes and sells them too. She wants to work hard and save the money as she wishes to go for Hajj pilgrimage atleast once.
During her talk Mumtaz Aapa was all praise for a non Muslim jeweller named Prakash who helped her a lot while her husband was ill. He used to bring medicines for him and after the death of her husband Prakash bought a sewing machine for her.
