Stating that a good mother would never support a wayward son, PCC official spokesperson Dr N Thulasi Reddy has said that there would be no safety to lives, assets of the people if the YSR Congress wrests power in the State. He also alleged that the BJP was colluded with the YSRCP and therefore it was extending support to its president and Kadapa MP Y S Jaganmohan Reddy.
Speaking to the media at Gandhi Bhavan on Tuesday, Dr Reddy sarcastically said that YSRC chief Y S Jaganmohan Reddy would only bring golden rule to the land grabbers and looters and not the common man if he came to power.
Alleging that some greedy MLAs, had deserted the Congress for the sake of pocketing Jagan’s tainted money, Dr Reddy said that YSRC honorary president Y S Vijayamma’s campaigning in the bye-election would be nominal and there would not be any impact on the people.
Questioning Jaganmohan Reddy to answer whether sacrifice means earning Rs one lakh crores illegally, Dr Reddy said that the YSRC leaders were opportunist elements, who can do anything for the sake of money even if it is tainted.
PCC Women’s wing president Ganga Bhavani has alleged that the actress-turned YSRC women’s wing leader Roja was is ‘iron leg’. She has substantiated her charge that Dr YSR died immediately after Roja met former chief minister (late YSR) in a helicopter crash and Jaganmohan Reddy left the Congress only after Roja met him in Nellore. “One has to wait and see what would happen to Y S Vijayamma now as Roja met her”, she added.
Ganga Bhavani questioned the YSRC leaders, including Roja, to answer what was the use of Dr M V Mysoora Reddy, who had edited a book titled ‘Raja of Corruption’ on late YSR’s alleged corrupt practices, for their party. Ganga Bhavani also warned Roja of dire consequences if she failed to control her mouth. (NSS)
