How liquor lovers help State become Golden Telangana, asks VH

Finding fault with the State government’s encouragement to the liquor business, Congress senior leader V Hanumantha Rao questioned the former as to how the people will become part of ‘Golden Telangana’ by consuming liquor.

           

Speaking at Assembly media point here on Monday, VH alleged that the government encouraging the youth to consume liquor on one side and on the other side it was arresting them and finally it was giving counseling. He asked the government to stop encouraging liquor consumption to achieve Golden Telangana. It was not proper to the government to give permission to the shops at the rate of 13000 population per one shop.

           

Appreciating the state government’s much hyped Haritha Haram program, Hanumantha Rao demanded the government to reveal the details of the tree guards. He found fault with the state government for giving too much publicity to the Haritha Haram and asked the government to tell whether it prepared 46 crore tree guards. He said that the government was planting sapling but not protecting them leading to wasting of money. (NSS)
