Mumbai: After a long battle, the makers of ‘Lipstick Under My Burkha’ can now heave a sigh of relief as the film has finally got a release date.
The flick releases on July 28 and Ekta Kapoor is now on-board as presenter and pan-India distributor of the film.
A renowned trade analyst took to Twitter to share the information as he wrote, “Not Balaji Motion Pictures, but Ekta Kapoor’s other company ALT Entertainment to present #LipstickUnderMyBurkha… 28 July 2017 release.”
Overruling the censor board’s refusal, Film Certification Appellate Tribunal (FCAT) had issued ‘A’ or adults certificate to feminist drama.
The cast of the Alankrita Shrivastava-directorial includes Konkona Sen Sharma, Ratna Pathak Shah and Sonal Jha, among others.
