New Delhi: Delhilites may witness light rains tonight or early tomorrow morning even as the day was clear today with the mercury settling at five notches above normal.
While the visibility this morning was better than that recorded in past few days, 70 trains were still running late by several hours due to fog.
“The visibility recorded at Palam and Safdarjung observatory oscillated between 700 to 800 metres. The reading was at 350 metres yesterday,” a MeT official said.
“The maximum temperature was recorded at 24.4 degrees Celsius, five notches above normal while the minimum settled at 11.5 degrees Celsius, four notches above normal,” the official added.
Humidity levels oscillated between 100 and 62 per cent.
“Light rains or thundershowers might occur in some areas tonight or early tomorrow morning,” the official said.
Yesterday, the minimum temperature was recorded at 10.4 degrees Celsius, three notches above normal, while the maximum settled at 25.4 degrees Celsius, six notches above the season’s average.
