Light rains in Delhi bring some respite from heat

New Delhi: Frequent cloudy spells and light scattered rains in some parts of the national capital today led to further drop in the mercury making it a comfortable day for Delhiites.

The maximum temperature was recorded at 34.5 degrees Celsius, six notches below the season’s average while the minimum temperature was pegged at 28.8 degrees Celsius, a notch below the normal, said a MeT department official.

The humidity level oscillated between 71 and 52 per cent.

The MeT office has forecast overcast conditions along with a possibility of thunder and lightning tomorrow.

“The maximum and minimum temperatures are likely to hover around 39 and 28 degrees Celsius, respectively,” the weatherman said.

Yesterday, the maximum and minimum temperatures were recorded at 37.2 and 26 degrees Celsius respectively.
