Hot weather conditions prevailed over some parts of the Telangana State during the last week with average maximum temperature recorded 42°C to 45°C over mostly east and southeastern parts of the State which is 3°C to 5°C above normal over Nirmal, Rajanna-Sircilla, Komarambheem- Asifabad, Mancherial, Peddapalle, Jayashankar-Bhupalpally, Bhadradri-Kothagudem, Khammam, Nalgonda, Suryapet districts and the remaining part of the State recorded maximum temperature in the range of 41°C to 43°C. Highest maximum temperatures of 46.5°C recorded at Wyra (Khammam), 45.4°C at Palwancha (Bhadradri-Kothagudem), 45.3°C at Mudigonda (Khammam) and 45.2°C recorded at Penuballi (Khammam) during the week.
The weather man forecast light rain to thunder showers in the next week from April 29 to May 5. The Met office said with the prevailing north-south trough passing through the Telangana State, light rain/ thundershowers are expected at isolated places over southern parts of the State during the next three week. The average maximum temperatures are likely to be more than 42°C over most parts of Telangana State which are likely to be 3°C to 5°C above normal. The maximum temperature will be in the range of 43°C to 45°C over east and southeastern parts of the state and the remaining parts of the state is excepted to be in the range of 41°C to 43°C, while the minimum temperature will be in the range of 24°C to 28°C.
