New Delhi: The national capital experienced light rainfall on Friday evening while the maximum temperature settled at 33.5 degrees Celsius, four notches above the season’s average, said the Met office and predicted thunderstorm and hail on Saturday.
“Mist is very likely to occur on Saturday morning while the sky would be cloudy throughout the day. Rain and thunder squall with the possibility of hail are very likely to occur at many places in Delhi and NCR (National Capital Region) in the afternoon,” said an India Meteorological Department (IMD) official.
The maximum and minimum temperatures are likely to hover around 26 and 16 degrees Celsius, respectively.
On Friday, the weather office said it recorded 3 mm rainfall between 8.30 a.m. and 5.30 p.m.
The day’s minimum temperature was recorded at 19 degrees Celsius, five notches above the season’s average while the maximum humidity was recorded 90 percent.
Thursday’s maximum temperature settled at 31.1 degrees Celsius, two notches above the season’s average, while the minimum temperature was recorded at 19.2 degrees Celsius, five notches above the season’s average.
