Hyderabad: The southwest monsoon has further advanced into some more parts of southeast Arabian Sea, Comorin – Maldives area, southwest Bay of Bengal, most parts of southeast Bay of Bengal, remaining parts of Andaman Sea, Andaman & Nicobar Islands, many parts of east central Bay of Bengal and some parts of west central and northeast Bay of Bengal.
The Northern Limit of Monsoon (NLM) passes through Lat. 05 N / Long 65 E, Lat. 07 N / Long 70 E, Lat. 08 N / Long 80 E, Lat. 11 N / Long 85 E, Lat. 17 N / Long 90 E and Lat. 20 N / Long 93 E. Conditions are becoming favorable for further advance of southwest monsoon into some more parts of south Arabian Sea, remaining parts of Comorin- Maldives Area, some parts of Lakshadweep, Kerala and Tamil Nadu, some more parts of southwest Bay of Bengal, central and northeast Bay of Bengal during next 24 hours.
The low pressure area has formed over east central Bay of Bengal and neighborhood and associated upper air cyclonic circulation extending upto mid-tropospheric level. The system is likely to become more marked during next 24 hours. An east-west shear zone runs along Lat. 12 deg.N at 3.1 km above mean sea level over Indian Region. The trough runs from northwest Madhya Pradesh & neighbourhood to Marathwada across west Vidarbha extending upto 1.5 km above mean sea level.
