AP Urdu Academy is organizing a function today to give the Life Achievement award to selected Urdu writers,poets,scholars and journalists for the years 2009-11.Prof.SA Shakoor,Director Urdu Academy told that a grand function will be held at 5pm today at Indra Priyadarshini Auditorium, Public Gardens,Nampally.Mr Mohammad Ahmedullah,Minister of Minorities Welfare,Waqf Board and Urdu Academy will be the chief guest.21 selected persons will be given the prestigious life achievement award.Prof Shakoor has requested the Urdu lovers to attend this function in large numbers and make it a success.
