LFW 2017 Day 2: Bollywood songstress Akasa performs for ‘Paramparik Karigar’

Mumbai (Maharashtra) [India]: Day two of the ongoing Lakme Fashion Week, which showcased sustainable fashion by Indian as well as international labels, witnessed the performance of one of the youngest voices of India Akasa Singh.

Akasa performed Sufi songs on modern bass lines while models sashayed down the ramp for ‘Paramparik Karigar’, an organisation that has long been promoting Indian crafts.

Talking about her performance, Akasa said she was ‘thrilled’ to be on a stage that promotes sustainable fashion especially with organisations like ‘ Paramparik Karigar‘.

“A massive shout out to Lakme Fashion week for endorsing them which I am sure is a huge source of encouragement to them,” she added.

Akasa garnered immense praise for her hit track ‘Kheech Mere Photo’ starring Mawra Hocane in ‘ Sanam Teri Kasam‘. ( ANI)
