Indeed these are hard and tough times for our Millat all over the world. May Allah O Tallah have mercy on us all.
Right from Individual level to Societal , State and National to International we are taking a beating at the hands of the enemies of Islam. We have become an easy prey and scapegoats for all that is going wrong around.
Every day we see on TV and read in the Newspapers about atrocities and injustice being done and wrecked on us on flimsy if not outright framed up charges and excuses. We hear about such horrifying news about our innocent helpless Youth being rounded up and taken into custody on mere suspicion. Slapped and framed in trumped up charges and cases and detained in the lock-ups against the law of detention, in gross violation of their Fundamental Human Rights as per the laws of the land. We keep reading about how they are being tortured and in what inhuman and cruel and harmful way made to confess to the crimes they do not even know about and then sent to jails without trials, indiscriminately and indefinitely without any appeal or recourse to the lawful procedures.
Imagine, the conditions, the trauma and tension of their families. Just put yourselves in their shoes and place for some time and think and imagine! Think about their Mothers, Fathers, Sisters, Siblings and how they are looked upon with suspicion by their neighbours and avoided and the way their careers, lives and future prospects are ruined for good.
What are we as fellow Muslims doing or can do? We just read and hear about them. That too such news appears in our Urdu papers. The English and other papers let alone the TV hardly , rather never report such news or excesses and injustice done to innocent Muslims. They appear only in Urdu Dailies, Which hardly reach enough readership or conciencious citizens. Most of the people do not even get to hear or know about such gross inhumane and unlawful injustice meted out to us Muslims today in different corners of our city nay country. It is a tragedy, we have to report, print and read it ourselves in the Urdu papers. A pity! How many of us can read even that!
Alas! We cannot understand or realize the trauma and travails of those, our helpless Muslim brethren and their families. Unless it happens to us and we are made to go through it, we just cannot understand or realize the gravity of the situation and the
level to which the Rightists have grown big and bold and the Police and the Authorities are with them hand in glove. The way the minds and attitudes of the whole generation has been polluted and poisoned against the Muslims, and everything that is Muslim for the past 20 to 25 years, by the Rightists parties starting with the Rath Yatras and the Demolition of the Babri Masjid to the Godhara Carnage. And the Police the media and the system with them. Indeed, it is a fact that the entire Police, especially the higher rung and echelons is soaked and dyed in Saffron.
So what is to be done?
Remember, ‘Others cannot insult us without our consent’
Others can act smart with us and take advantage or insult or hurt and harm or intimate us only when we are weak and vulnerable. Our enemies dare not look us in the eye when we are strong and united and vigilant and put up a bold united front.
So first, let us do an introspection and set ourselves right and our houses in Order.
Who knows the state of affairs of us better than ourself. The state and condition of our Homes, Neighbourhood, Society, Community at large. Right from our inter-personal relations and equations to that of Societal, National to International level are at discord and loggerheads.
Just take a look at what is happening in our own city. So glaringly and shamelessly among our very leaders and heads and those who matter and carry weight. Bitching and backbiting and openly slandering and literally mud-slinging at each other making a laughing stock of not only themselves but the community. Calling each other names and getting abusive not just in private but in print and on public platforms vociferously.
When our leaders, who really matter, whom people look up to for their leadership and redressal of their grievances, keep quarreling making a spectacle of themselves , forming their own coetiers, groups nay parties and setting one against the other, what option or hope does our community, the common lot have. As it is, beset with so many drawbacks and hardships and surrounded and targeted by enemies and anti-Muslims faces all around.
And even individually the same thing is happening. We keep bitching and backbiting and slandering and criticizing each other. Calling names and maligning others, indulging in character assassination of our own brethren (at times just for fun) and putting others in trouble out of sheer jealousy and ill-will.
This is the biggest bane of our community nay Millat. This is the biggest drawback and internal weakness which is making us an easy prey to our enemies. This is the biggest weakness of ours and the advantage of our enemies.
So, brethren let us first shed our differences and petty quarrels. Let us bury the
ill-will and malice amongst ourselves. Let us be magnanimous with our own Muslim brethren. Let us understand and overlook each others short coming, mistakes, misses nay mischiefs. Is it a big deal. Did not our Rasulallah, Salla Allahu wa Sallam teach us to shield our Muslim brethren even their mistakes.
Allah has clearly told us in the Quran:
“Hold on to the cable of Allah and sow not discord and dissension among yourself”.
May Allah o Talah give us fortitude, strength, better sense, right thinking and foster unity and understanding amongst us. Ameen.
Allah Hafiz
Yours,
Alladeen
