(Siasat News)The Chairman of the Legislative Committee to monitor the implementation of 15-Point Programme of the Prime Minister of India admitted that there has been lethargy in the implementation of 15-Point Programme. C.M of A.P Mr. N.Kiran Kumar Reddy is keen on extending the benefits of Welfare Programmes to Minorities.
C.M is also camping for three days in a week in every district to launch Indira Bata Programme. He had also instructed the Chief Secretary to convene the meeting of Committee of Assembly to review 15-Point Programme of Prime Minister.
In the light of these instructions, Ms. Minie Mathew, Chief Secretary of the State convened a meeting yesterday. She presided the meeting. The members of the Assembly of this Committee and the concerned Officials attended this meeting.
After the Meeting, Mr. Mastan wali, MLA told the newsmen that for the past four years, the meeting of the implementation committee was not convened. It was resolved that every month, district collectors will hold such meetings and State Govt. will convene it in every three months. The Chief Secretary, Ms. Minie Mathew, gave this assurance.
Mr. Mastan wali said that Govt. of India is releasing Rs.6, 000 to 7,000 crore every year for the implementation of P.M’s 15 Point Programme for the welfare of Minorities. He demanded the Government to reserve at least 15% amount for the welfare schemes of the Muslims. Ms Minie Mathew reacted positively and instructed the Secretary of Minorities Welfare Department to take necessary steps.
Mr. Mastan wali suggested that a special campaign should be organized to include Muslim women in DOCRA group.
He also demanded the Government to provide grants and lands for the construction and maintenance of mosques, Muslim graveyards and Eidgahs.
He pointed out that Govt announced many welfare programmes for Minorities but no programme is being implemented. He made a specific mention of the development of Urdu Language. Although Govt. declared Urdu as a second language in 15 district of A.P but so far it has not been implemented.
Mr. Mastan wali further demanded that out of Central grant, at least Rs.1100 should be allocated for the welfare of the Minorities for which a separate G.O should be issued.
