Leopard revisits Shamshabad

Hyderabad, February 06: A week after forest officials gave up the search for the wild cat spotted on the city outskirts, the animal revisited Shamshabad and this time has even left behind a trail of blood.

It attacked calf of a buffalo in Kasaguda, 7 kms away from Shamshabad.

The calf has survived the attack and was sent for examination to a veterinary doctor to get a clear picture whether the attack was by a leopard or not.

The leopard was first seen nearly a fortnight back by villagers in a remote village, Chary Nagar, where it left behind pug marks and was identified by forest officials as a four-year-old animal.
