Johannesburg, Aug. 09 : Soon after his team had failed to defend the Ashes after losing the fourth Test against England, Australian cricket coach Darren Lehmann has been criticized for turning to Twitter in search of tickets for English Premier League football match.
Lehmann made a tweet saying,”Would like to go to Stoke v Liverpool with a couple of people anyone help? @stokecity or @LFC can you please retweet.”
Considering his tweet as irrelevant for the current situation, one of the respondents said that it was probably not the best time to send out a tweet like that, asking him to take his team and teach them their defensive game, Sport24 reported.
Lehmann performance as coach and selector has come under scrutiny as Australia have lost three of their five Ashes series under him.
Meanwhile, Australia skipper Michael Clarke has also confirmed that he will retire from international cricket after the last Ashes Test to be played at Kennington Oval. (ANI)
