Speaking to the media here today, Home Minister Nayini Narsimha Reddy condemned AICC leader for making atrocious comments without any responsibility. “Digvijay Singh has spoken like a mentally deranged person and we are taking legal action against the Congress senior leader for his belittling comments on our police”, Narsimha Reddy stated. “Already our MLA has filed a complaint against him with the State police, the Home Minister said. It is unbecoming for a former Union minister to make such remarks against our police, who are efficiently working and ideal to other states. He demanded that the Congress leader should withdraw his remarks and tender an unconditional apology.

TRS legislator Magunta Gopinath Reddy on Tuesday filed a complaint against the Congress leader in this regard. Speaking on the occasion, he said Singh has belittled the Telangana police and disturbed their morale. Singh made provocative comments which are aimed at gaining political mileage though law and order are under control in the State, he said. The Congress leader, he said, should withdraw his hit-and-run comments and apologise to the police. (NSS)
