10 left parties of Telangana staged dharna in front of Chest Hospital protesting against shifting of Chest Hospital, Erragadda. Addressing the sit-in protest CPI Greater Hyderabad Central Zone Convenor Dr. Sudhakar said that any move to deprive public from medical facilities owing to superstitions will not be tolerated by us. He further said we are not opposing any announcement like making Hyderabad Singapore and constructing multi-storied building, but the 10 left parties of Telangana are opposing shifting of Chest Hospital established years ago keeping in view public interest. He claimed that TRS government is completely ignoring public interest and is dancing to the tune of only 4 people.
Leaders of left parties demanded to cancel the decision of shifting the chest hospital and to upgrade it on the lines of Osmania and Gandhi hospital.
