Left parties – the CPI and the CPM — today warned the BJP-led NDA government at the Centre of doom for ignoring cry for special status to Andhra Pradesh State.
Speaking to the media here on Sunday on the occasion of CPI 26th State mahasabha, CPI Andhra Pradesh State secretary Ramakrishna and CPM State secretary Madhu said they will be organizing a mammoth public meeting at Anantapur under the aegis of CPM, CPI and Jana Sena. They said Jana Sena Chief Pawan Kalyan will attend the meeting.
The Left parties’ leaders ridiculed AP Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu for staging a cycle Yatra and Delhi Yatra for the sake of special status to the State. They appealed to the people to take part in the agitation to achieve special status to the State. They said they will take a decision on special status issue while discussing it in the mahasabha.
