Left parties express concern over House adjournment

The left party leaders on Tuesday expressed serious concern over frequent adjournment of the House without transacting any business.

Talking to media persons at Assembly media point, Communist Party of India (Marxist) floor leader Julakanti Rangareddy said although the opposition parties have been cooperating for running the House smoothly, the government have been forcing Speaker Nadendla Manohar to adjourn it abruptly. He appealed to the government to uphold the respect of the Legislative Assembly by giving top priority to public issues instead of avoiding discussions.

Communist Party of India MLA Samba Siva Rao expressed concern over the House not taking up discussions on Telangana resolution, corruption, drought and farmers issues since the beginning of session. At least now, the government and opposition parties relent and make efforts for running the House smoothly and press for a healthy discussion on various issues concerning common man. (INN)
