Leaders of Left parties and Civil Liberties Committee on Thursday met here in the CPI office Maqdoom Bhavan and decided to organize a “Chalo Assembly” program on September 30 to register their protest against the recent alleged encounter of Maoists near Medaram under Tadvai mandal of Warangal district.
Telangana State CPI secretary Chada Venkat Reddy, State CPI-M secretary Tammineni Veerabhadram, Telangana United Front president Vimalakka, CLC leader Prof. Haragopal, Telangana Vedica president Cheruku Sudhakar and others were present in the meeting.
Speaking at the meeting, all the Left parties’ leaders unanimously felt that the alleged encounter was stage-managed by the government and condemned it. Recalling that TRS chief K Chandrasekhar Rao had declared that they would follow the Maoists agenda has opened an account of fake encounters with the one in Warangal district recently.
The Left parties leaders have called upon democracy lovers to participate in the September 30 Chalo Assembly and make it a grand success. (NSS)
