State Government has taken a decision to set up on pilot basis LED bulbs in 40 Village Panchayats to reduce power consumption and bills. Central Energy Efficiency Services Limited, a central government subsidiary of energy sector is to start the works said its Managing Director Saurabh Kumar.
Panchayat Raj Minister Jupally Krishna Rao held a meeting on the issue at Secretariat attended by Chief Secretary SP Singh and Commissioner Nitu Prasad and other officials. The minister hoped that the government plan to illuminate the villages get fructified with LED bulbs project. He also said that the LED Bulbs can be operated upon the use of latest technology through remote control. It will be help to reach our goals to reduce power consumption and bills to half. Having implemented in 22 municipalities, the project will be launched on pilot basis and to be expanded to other places in the state. The Minister asked the officials to see that the panchayats face no problem of funds by reducing their power and water bills. Fixing LED bulbs will sure prove handy in the villages to give more efficient services by reducing consumption and bills. (NSS)
