A lecturer of Sri Medha V Junior College, Gudimalkapur, allegedly kidnapped a minor student of the same college from her house at Tappachabutra. The accused, Kamal Rao, is a 36-year-old married man.
Rao, who used to go regularly to the 16-year-old girl’s home to give her tuitions, allegedly “lured” her. The victim’s parents lodged a complaint and the police have now launched a man-hunt.
Tappachabutra Inspector Mohammed Riyaz uddin said the girl was taken away by the accused on Monday from her residence.
A said by Mr Riyazuddin, “In the early hours of February 17, Rao lured one of his students and took her away her from her house without the knowledge of her parents. We have booked a case and have started an investigation.
“The cop said that the accused got close to the girl when her father was undergoing a surgery.”The accused used to accompany the victim to the hospital. He got close to her and lured her” said the Inspector.
