Kochi, July 29: A local court today declared as proclaimed offenders two accused in a case relating to an attack on a lecturer whose right hand was chopped off allegedly by activists of radical outfit Popular Front of India (PFI).
The two accused — K K Ali and Nazar — are absconding since the attack on T J Joseph, police said.
They were declared proclaimed offenders on the report of SIT probing the case.
Police had earlier issued lookout notice against Ali, Nazar and another accused Younus, who had already been arrested.
Joseph was attacked on July 4 allegedly by PFI activists at Muvattupuzha for preparing a question paper containing “derogatory” references to Prophet Mohammed.
