At least 16 killed in Pakistan blast

Karachi, April 22: At least 16 people were killed and dozens were injured on Thursday in a grenade explosion at a gambling club in Pakistan’s southern city of Karachi, Geo News reported.

Police said a powerful blast ripped through Rami Club in Ghas Mandi area near the Liyari neighborhood after a clash between two groups. One member from the group threw a hand grenade, killing 16 people and injuring more than 35 people.

Police and emergency services rushed to the blast site and the death toll is feared to rise further. Bomb disposal squad also went to the site.

Multiple targets killings have recently taken place in the Ghas Mandi area.
