“Learn and Earn” scheme for Minorities: Minorities Welfare Dept. to monitor

Hyderabad: Govt. of India has entrusted the job of monitoring the central scheme “Learn and Earn”. The Ministry of Minority Affairs has asked the Dept. of Minorities Welfare of Telangana State to inspect various training centers in the districts to review their functioning and to report to Central Govt.

Mr. Syed Omer Jaleel, IAS, Secretary, Dept. of Minorities Welfare issued instructions to district officials and apprised them of their duties. The objective of this central schemes is to equip Minorities with technical skills to associate them with self employment programs. The entire expenditure of this scheme will be borne by Central Govt. Under this scheme, various training programs would be organized. Unemployed youths and school drop outs would be given training in various professions. It aims at giving proper share to Minorities in the developing commercial market.

Govt. of India has decided to seek the cooperation of State Govt. for the implementation of this scheme. The officials of the Dept. of Minorities Welfare will visit district training centers and submit report to Govt. of India.
