Leaders of TS, AP, Kerala, TN offer shelter to JD (S) MLAs of Karnataka

Hyderabad: The Chief Ministers and Opposition leaders of Southern States offered their help to give shelter to JD (S) MLAs of Karnataka.

Mr. Chandrababu Naidu, CM of AP and Mr. KCR, CM of TS offered to give shelter to JD (S) MLAs whereas the Congress leaders of Kerala and Opposition leader of Tamil Naidu offered their help to accommodate JD (S) leaders in their States.

MK Stalin of DMK criticized the decision of Governor of Karnataka for inviting Mr. Yeddurappa to take oath as CM of Karnataka.

Congress and JD (S) jointly approached Supreme Court and said that they have the required number of legislators for the formation of the government. This petition is yet to be heard. BJP has 104 MLAs, it needs 8 more MLAs to reach a simple majority of 112. BJP may make an attempt to attract Congress and JD (S) MLAs by giving them hopes of better positions.

It may be mentioned that TDP President, Mr. Chandrababu Naidu had told the Telugu speaking voters of Karnataka to defeat BJP whereas Mr. KCR had supported Mr. HD Deve Gouda.

JD (S) MLAs will stay in a hotel in Hyderabad whereas Congress MLAs will be accommodated in a hotel in Kochi. JD (S) MLAs who were kept in a resort near Bangaluru were brought to Hyderabad by buses.
