Leaders of BJP minority morcha attempt attack on CEO & Inspector auditor of Waqf Board

Hyderabad: Mayhem broke out at Telangana Waqf Board on Thursday, when a group representing the issue of an Ashoorkhana of the city had heated arguments with the officials of Waqf Board. Both the parties shoved each other and allegations and counter allegations began.

Attempt to attack Waqf Board Chairman Mohammed Saleem and an Inspector auditor was made. However Waqf Board Chairman and others intervened and prevented the clash.

The delegation comprising of leaders of BJP minority Morcha was demanding construction of Ashoorkhana allocated at Multanpura, begum bazar. They alleged laxity on part of Waqf Board officials in setting up of ‘Alam’ in the Ashoorkhana.

Executive Officer Mannan Farooqui told the delegation that the ‘Alam’ will be set up by inspector auditor as usual. He said the area is very sensitive, immediate action could be objected by locals. The argument intensified and the delegation began heading towards Chief Executive Officer leading to fighting and shoving.

Board members, Maulana Akber Nizamuddin, Malik Motasim Khan, Zakir Husain Javeed and Mirza Anwer Baig were also present on the scene, who tried to placate the angry group. Finally the chairman sent back the delegation by giving assurance.

Meanwhile police reached Hajj House and shifted the minority leaders of BJP out of Hajj House.
