Lead futures rose 0.45 per cent to Rs 132.55 per kg today on rising demand in spot markets and positive global cues.
At the Multi Commodity Exchange, lead for delivery in April traded higher by 60 paise, or 0.45 per cent, at Rs 132.55 per kg with a turnover of 178 lots.
The metal for delivery in May also rose by 55 paise, or 0.41 per cent, to trade at Rs 133.30 per kg in a business turnover of nine lots.
Besides strong demand from battery-makers, a firm trend in copper and other base metals overseas influenced lead prices at futures trade here, analysts said.
