Laxman takes charge as state BJP Chief

BJP MLA from Musheerabad Dr K Laxman today officially assumed charge as Telangana BJP president.

 

Amidst chanting of Ved mantropachar, Laxman took charge as president in the State BJP office at Nampally here. Recently the BJP central leadership announced the name of Laxman as new State BJP chief. Union ministers M Venkaiah Naidu and Bandaru Dattatraya, national secretary Murlidhar Rao, Kishan Reddy and other party MLAs, including NVSS Prabhakar and Chintala Ramachandra Reddy and leaders attended the function amidst slogans by party workers.

On the occasion, Venkaiah Naidu expressed hope that the State BJP would emerge as a force to reckon with under the leadership of Dr Laxman. He called upon party leaders and workers to strive for strengthening of the party in the State. (NSS)
