Stating that it was not proper to the Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao, who demanded the then governments to celebrate the Telangana Liberation Day officially, to forget the celebrations after becoming the Chief Minister of the state, BJP state president Dr K Laxman has alleged that there was no democracy in the state.
Speaking to the media after hoisting the national flag at BJP office here on Saturday, Laxman demanded the state government to include the history of Telangana Liberation Movement in the school curriculum.
Another senior leader Dr Nagam Janardhan Reddy alleged that the Chief Minister was behaving like heir of Qasim Razvi. Speaking to the media after paying floral tributes to Sardar Patel statue located opposite to Assembly, Nagam alleged that the Chief Minister was not conducting celebrations afraid of Qasim Razvi heirs. He recalled the Sardar Patel, who destroyed the idea of the then Nizam for trying to transform the Hyderabad Samsthan as Deccan Pakistan, services.
BJLP leader G Kishan Reddy tried to hoist the national flag in Assembly premises to mark the Telangana Liberation Day. He tried to enter the Assembly premises but the police obstructed the efforts of Kishan Reddy. Irate Kishan Reddy entered into verbal war with the police for a while leading to tension. (NSS)
