The Bar Council of India has asked the lawyers across the country to abstain from the work on Monday in protest against the assault on lawyers in Jaipur and Chandigarh.
In a media statement, Bar Council Secretary JR Sharma said that the protest should be peaceful and in most dignified way. The lawyers of Delhi, who have already observed the abstention on March 7, have been exempted from Monday’s protest. (INN)
