Hyderabad: Dept. of Police imposed restrictions under police act 30 on processions and rallies but Hindu organizations sought permission from High Court through a writ petition.
High Court of Hyderabad granted conditional permission for Ram Navami procession in Bhainsa. Police issued permission letter imposing 13 conditions which include the timings of the procession, no fireworks and refrain from playing controversial songs etc.
The procession started at 11:30 a.m. and passed through various localities and reached the rural police station area of Subhash Nagar where they played the controversial song “Banayenge Mandir” repeatedly. When the circle inspector of Bhainsa, Mr. A. Raghu intervened, he was attacked, as a result of which he got injury on his head. He was rushed to hospital. Violations of the conditions were seen. Police booked a case for the attack on inspector.
