Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao said law and order is an essential prerequisite for rapid development of a state or country.Referring to his recent visit to Singapore, the Chief Minister said public safety was a top priority in the city or state and that is why it has developed by leaps and bounds.
“We will stimulate the Singapore system here,” he said while addressing Telangana State Police Commemoration Day parade at Goshamahal. AP and Telangana Governor ESL Narasimhan, Telangana Home Minister N Narasimha Reddy and DGP Anurag Sharma and Hyderabad Police Commissioner M Mahender Reddy, were present.
“Police force is playing a vital role in maintaining law and order, and there is a need to keep up this effort,” he said. On the occasion, he announced that daily allowance for police personnel on bandobust duty has been raised to Rs 250 per day from Rs 90.
The Chief Minister also announced revising the ceiling of medical reimbursement under ‘Arogya Bhadratha’ scheme from Rs 1 lakh to Rs 5 lakh and from Rs 2.5 lakh to Rs 7.5 lakh.
