Law and order situation deteriorating in JK: JKNPP

Jammu, June 23: The Jammu and Kashmir National Panthers Party (JKNPP) today accused the NC-congress coalition government of maintaining poor law and order situation in the state.

“The government has failed on all fronts and law and order machinery has completely broken down as a result of which the life in entire Kashmir valley has come to standstill due to complete strikes”, JKNPP President Balwant Singh Mankotia told reporters here.

The murders, kidnappings, custodial killings have become the order of the day and government seems to be helpless in tackling these issues, he said. The JKNPP leader also expressed serious concern over what he said the reported eagerness of the state government to press the central government for revocation of Armed Forces Special Powers Act (AFSPA).
