Launching stir only option on medical seats to Telangana:TRS

Former MP and TRS leader B Vinod has said that his party has no other alternative than launching agitation if the Congress government failed to get additional medical seats in the medical colleges of Telangana region.
A TRS delegation led by Vinod called on Principal Secretary of Medical & Health K Ratna Kishore today and enquired about the government’s move as a Division Bench of the High Court would be pronouncing its judgment on the issue on Friday.

The TRS leader demanded that the government engage a senior lawyer and approach the Supreme Court to get justice to the Telangana region. Alleging that the government was behaving irresponsibly on the medical seats issue, he said that because of the government’s negligence, the Kakateeya medical college has lost 50 seats in spite of having required infrastructure. The government was playing with the future of meritorious poor students of the Telangana region.

Reminding that there was only one BSc (Nursing) College in the Telangana region, that too in Hyderabad, he said there are five BSc (Nursing) Colleges in the Seemandhra region. Instead of starting a new BSc (Nursing) College in Warangal, the government has chosen to close down Ayurvedic College in Warangal. The activities of the Kiran Kumar Reddy government clearly show that it was working against the Telangana region.
